  • Executive Chairman

    Tim Rook CEng MCIBSE

    Tim is a Chartered Building Services Engineer and one of the UK's leading specialists in the design of renewable heating systems and their integration with conventional building services.

    A former British Army Officer, Tim went on to establish his own renewable energy business (now merged with our sister Company Ecofirst) and was one of the very first engineers in the country to pass the HETAS biomass course at the renowned Centre for Alternative Technology.

     

  • Chief Operating Officer

    Peter Gubb MBA

    From a general management background Peter has worked in the print, industrial, utilities, aerospace and truck rental sectors in employed and consultancy roles. A real ‘change manager’ he came to Woodpecker earlier this year with a view to making the organisation the best in its class. A keen sportsman over the years he played 1st team rugby for Brighton RFC and Portsmouth RFC. He also captained Bletchley RFC to two Buckinghamshire County Cups and in the John Player Cup Competition.

     

  • Production and Quality Manager

    Dave Crane

    Dave comes from an engineering management background and brings with him 16 years experience in aerospace and 4 years in the packaging / food industry.

    David is trained in lean manufacturing and has implemented Kanban, 5S and MRP systems. He has a wealth of experience of project management, product development, conformance and quality standards.

     

  • Business Development Manager

    Steve Dolby

    Steve comes from an international blue-chip sales and marketing background having worked for RAC Motoring Services, RACAL Electronics, and The Expanded Metal Company. In addition he ran his own sales and marketing consultancy / agency with clients including Motorola, The Motor Sports Association, Vauxhall, ISC International and Recycled Rock & Aggregate amongst others.

    He is a true 'brand champion' and has well honed project management, marketing, negotiating and buying skills through varied channels.

     

  • Business Development Manager

    Gary Johnson

    Gary comes from a technical construction/specifier sales background including spells at Masco where he became the supplier of choice for major housebuilders like Persimmon and Taylor Wimpey for upvc windows & doors. He was Business Development Manager for Derby Glass and Solaglas advising architects and specifiers on specialist glass products for the commercial and domestic markets and more recently in a consultancy  role designing gas central heating and air-conditioning systems.
    Originally from Burton on Trent he started his career in the brewing industry but  has worked in various parts of the UK. He is now firmly settled, after 9 years in Bristol. His interests include motorbikes, travel and food & drink.

  • Office Manager

    Tracy Horsey

    Joined Woodpecker in May 2011 in order to ensure things run smoothly.  Having worked in busy roles for the last ten years, including in finance, recruitment and sales she is used to organising a busy office.  A keen runner Tracy recently completed the London Marathon and is already looking for another challenge!

     

     

  • Service & Commissioning Engineer

    Gavin Gulliver-Goodall

    Gavin joined Woodpecker in May 2010 to provide technical support to clients and installers and act as commissioning and service engineer.
    He has worked in the Biomass industry for over 15 years, first with Border Biofuels Ltd. and later with his own company 3G Energi. His experience of wood heating installations ranges from small 5kW pellet stoves through to 1.5MW district heating projects.
    Gavin says “I am really impressed with the Woodpecker range of domestic boilers which are the first in my experience to be designed to work seamlessly with conventional central heating controls.Gavin is based in Southern Scotland where he has his own pellet boiler to heat his home. In his spare time he enjoys time with his family and dinghy sailing on Kielder water.

     

  • Service Engineer

    Guy Seja

    Guy joined Woodpecker in April 2011 after working with a sister Company Ecofirst for a number of months on the Osprey Quay, Olympic Sailing Village helping to install the Woodpecker Thermon boilers there. From a plumbing contracting background Guy is based in North Devon and dovetails closely with Gavin to supply the servicing and installation support in the south of the UK.
